Cooloola Coast Recruiting Members With Club Karts

press release

Cooloola Coast Kart Club have now set up their own “Come and Try Karts” for use at the Gold City track at Runge Rd, Gympie.

After two successful weekends using the AKA Queensland Come and Try Karts (donated by Brisbane Kart Club) the club could see value in having its own karts on a permanent basis.

“We had our members invite about 40 of their friends and family who were interested in starting karting to the track over two days and they all loved it.” Club President Kym Coomber said.

“There were a few out practising in their own karts they had purchased through the week the next weekend, so getting people in to have a drive is really all they needed to help them make the decision.”

“The first day we had planned rained and a some couldn’t make it the next weekend so the new club karts will be put to good use over the coming months and we hope to see a rise in numbers at the club in the near future” Kym said.

“We would like to thank RV Engines for the Midget/Cadet kart, Roqstar Dezigns for designing the stickers and Cameron Harch from Custom Decals for once again supporting our club with the printing.”

As well as being used as a way to get new comers on the track, the karts will be at various club displays around Gympie and the Sunshine Coast.  Gympie Autobarn is holding a Dyno Competition and Car Show this weekend with Victor Bray.  The Cooloola Coast Kart Club will have a display with 15 to 20 karts and members there to answer any questions.
