Whyalla's October Races

Saturday October 1 saw a great turn out for a local meet with 19 drivers participating in 5 rounds. Amy Redjepi drove consistently all day in the Midgets class. Juniors had the National Lights and Junior Performance on the track at the same time with Jake Looyestyn winning the day in lights despite  Brodie Armour winning the final. Ben Redjepi and Aiden Sossa finished the day on equal points with Sossa winning the first two rounds and Redjepi winning the last few.

14 Seniors took to the track together in numerous classes with Moonta based driver William Ritchie in a new Arrow Restricted Rotax winning the Restricted 125 lights, David Camwell winning the Restricted 125 Heavy and Jeff Redjepi winning Sportsman 100 Heavy. Karl Lawson finished second in the Sportsman 100 Heavy with Brian Sampson having a few spin offs.

Darrol Jones In Sporstman 100 Light drove consistently all day showing great potential. Dennis Cumerlato finished 2nd in 125 Restricted Heavy followed by Patrick Watt and Paul Velthuizen. Christopher Reid showed improvement in pace in the 125 Lights finishing 3rd for the day.
