Territorians Shine Brightly In The West

AKA press release

Northern Territory youngsters Brodie Green and Bryce Fullwood upstaged the local drivers during qualifying day in the Nash Bros. Western Australia Sprint Kart Championships in Albany on Friday.

Competing in the Junior National Light category, which featured no less than 25 competitors, the Darwin pair set the fastest and second fastest time respectively before Fullwood took the honours in the opening heat race.

Kalgoorlie driver Anthony Martin has put the experience he has gained in this year’s CIK Stars of Karting Series to good use by setting the pace ahead of Nicholas Rowe in the Junior Clubman category.

After qualifying fifth fastest in Junior National Heavy, Martin made it two wins for the opening round when he crossed the line first – also ahead of Rowe – in heat one.

Simon Minton was also a strong performer throughout the day by setting the pace in the Senior National Heavy class before taking out the opening heat – a feat he also completed in the Senior National Light division.

BD Soutar-Dawson qualified fastest in Clubman Light before being outpaced by Boe Beauglehole in heat one.
