Denso Sponsor Canberra Pro Tour

Denso Iridium will be the corporate sponsor of the Rotax Pro Tour Canberra on October 28 to 30. As part of the deal, all competitors racing at the Canberra event will be required to use a Denso Iridium spark plug in their Rotax..

Each competitor will be given 1 spark plug free of charge (selecting from IW27, IW29 or IW31) and required to place a Denso sticker (also supplied) on their kart for the duration of the event. More information from IKD about the event below.

Denso Iridium spark plugs are the recommended plug for use in Rotax engines and they are also the supplied plugs for the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals.


Message to Pro Tour racers from IKD

Entries for Pro Tour Canberra close this Friday, 21st October 2011. It’s important to get your entry in on time – any late entries will not be included in the program. For information on how to enter, please download the Supplementary Regulation from the website www.rotax.com.au

Please take note of the following two items (a bulletin will be issued in due course.)

  1. Control fuel for this meeting will be from the BP Service Station on Corner of Yass Road & Endurance Avenue, Queanbeyan.
  2. The wording for the Spark Plug Requirement will be amended to:

 SPARK PLUG REQUIREMENTS All competitors will be required to use Denso Iridium spark plugs for this event. Each competitor will be given one (1) plug free of charge. Competitors will be given a choice of an IW27, IW29 or IW31 spark plug. The plugs will be given out at tyre scanning. Competitors may replace plugs during the event (at their own cost) however, the plug can only be replaced by another Denso Iridium IW27, IW29 or IW31 spark plug. Replacement plugs will be available for purchase at the event. Karts will be randomly checked throughout the event to ensure adherence to this requirement.

Canberra Kart Racing Club would like to advise all competitors that a club meeting will be run this weekend for any competitors wishing to get some extra practice. Rotax classes that will be run at this meeting are Rotax Light, Rotax Heavy, Junior Max, DD2 & Rotax Super Heavy.
