McIlveen, May & Reed Win Superkart Championships
After losing the 2010 title to Darren Hossack on a countback, Warren McIlveen (Stockman MR2) has taken victory in the 250 International class at Phillip Island today.
Luke May (Anderson Maverick) added another Australian title to his name with victory in 250 National, whilst Jeff Reed (Stockman MR2) has emerged the victor in 125s.
All four races took place on Sunday after the Saturday afternoon race was postponed (repairs to a damaged barrier pushed the schedule into Phillip Island's curfew cut-off).
Sunday's second race was red-flagged after a multi-kart crash at Southern Loop on the opening lap. McIlveen won the opening event and finished fourth in the other two, which were won by fastest qualifier Russell Jamieson (Anderson-Maverick).
