More News From Vegas

As the 25th running of the world famous SuperNats heads into the final day a few of the Aussies are looking to make their mark on the event.

Young Kurt Kostecki had his event end early as he recorded a DNS for the last place qualifier in TAG Jnr. It has been a tough event for the young Aussie with 3 DNF's sitting next to his name after 3 heat races. Younger brother Jake fared better, recording an 11th in his heat on Friday, followed by two finishes of 6th in Saturday's heat races placing him within striking distance for Sunday's final.

KZ2 was again dominated by the big guns with Abbasse, Dreezen, Lammers, Ardigo and Jeremy Iglesias. The Aussie flag was flown proudly by Macauley Jones, Matt Wall, Matt Hunt and Jordie Lindstrom though the changing track and Las Vegas weather conditions made it hard to guage set up for the heat races. The wind at numerous stages was so strong the barriers were blown out of place before and even during the races! Wall finished 25 and 26th during his two heat races Saturday, Jones recorded a DNF in the first and a 25th in the second heat, Hunt managed a 32nd and 29th, and Jordie finished 18th in the second heat and recorded a DNF in the third.

Kip Foster continues to impress in the Masters field and if luck stays on his side could be walking away from this trip with another trophy to add to his collection, the quick Australian recorded the fastesp lap time in both the second and third heats moving up through the field to finish 3rd and 4th in both races giving him a strong chance for Sunday's final.

Adam Levi put in some strong performances in a very deep TAG Senior feild, finishing the days races with a 15th and 8th place next to his name. David Kermond recorded two 35th place finishes.

It will be an exciting finish to the event with some big names in contention across a number of classes.
