Dates Announced For 2012 Vic Junior Superkart Championship

The Victorian Superkart Club has announced the dates for the 2012 Victorian Junior Superkart State Championship.

There series is now in its third year and the club again has the support of CAMS and various other sponsors to build on the success of previous years.

It will run over four rounds, giving juniors the chance to race on famous car racing circuits:

  • February 12th - Phillip Island
  • March 31 - Calder Park
  • May 13 - Winton
  • November 11 - Phillip Island

The series is based on minimal changes from the traditional sprint kart setup, only requiring the fitting of a rain light and gear ratio changes, thus allowing the competitor to still use their kart for Sprint racing.

The Victorian Superkart club will assist entrants in obtaining their CAMS licence and setting the kart up for long circuit racing.

"There is no easier way of getting your CAMS licence than participating in this series" the club informed KartSportNews.
