Victorian Superkart 2011 Club Series Champions

press release

The Victorian Superkart Club is proud to announce its 2011 Club Series Champions.

250 International: Rod Prickett. In what has turned out to be Rod’s final year in Superkarting (or so he says) he has finished in fine form winning back to back. Though Rod has said he will not contest the series next year we are confident we’ll see him helping out in one of the garages.

250 National: Matt Palmer. Matt has had a great year of racing all over the country. Finishing 5th at the recent Nationals and now sealing the Club Championship. Matt’s second team kart also winning the Nationals with Luke May on board.

125 Gearbox: Rod Conn. In a Championship that went down to the wire Rod held off a determined Rob Millar to win this years Championship by only one point.

Rotax Light: Russ Occhipinti: The ever smiling Russ one again showed his determination by winning again this year from Peter Strangis who will no doubt keep Russ honest and hard working next year.

Rotax Heavy: Bobby Jane. The racing pedigree is starting to show. Starting in Superkarting only mid way through last year the mentoring he has received from Peter Woodgate and Rod Clarke has paid dividends this year. Bobby is also our overall Club Champion.

Rotax Junior: Tim Clarke. This was Tim’s second year in Superkarts and certainly one to remember. Winning the Nationals in September and now the State Championship Tim can only go on to better things.

The Club would also like to thank the many people and businesses that help out at each and every race meeting and continue to build on the success of our club.

The Victorian Club series kicks of again on February the 12th and includes round one of the Victorian Junior Superkart State Championship.
