The Wollongong Kart Racing club reports the sudden and sad passing on Sunday of "our long time friend, fellow karter and commentator Jimmy Patterson."

"With his sidekick Wazza, both formed a unique commentary team, that dished up fast accurate commentary with a touch of frivolity" club secretary Neville Scullion posted on Kartbook. 

Jimmy had been involved in karting over a long period of time and was well respected by all who knew him. "The WKRC offer its condolences to Jimmy's family and friends. He will be sadly missed. RIP Jimmy." - WKRC
