FIA Announce Equipment Tender Winners

The FIA has announced the results of the invitations to tender for supply of equipment at international events in 2012:

• Panta will supply all fuel in all the 2012 CIK-FIA Championships held on short circuits (except the Japanese Suzuka event). A second-generation “E10” type fuel (non-food bioethanol) will be supplied to the competitors of the CIK-FIA “U18” World Championship and Karting Academy Trophy
• Total will supply fuel for the 2012 and 2013 CIK-FIA European Superkart Championships
• Vega is the single supplier of tyres for all the 2012 CIK-FIA Championships, Cups and Trophies for KF2, KF3 and KZ2 (except the Asia-Pacific KF2 Championship)
• LeCont will supply tyres for the CIK-FIA “U18” World Championship and Karting Academy Trophy. In the latter competition (3 events), racing tyres will be delivered on a free basis to all the participants.

The tenders received were accompanied by a financial contribution from the tyre Manufacturers. This contribution will be used by the CIK-FIA to promote the championships concerned and to reward others worthy of honour.
