It has been confirmed that Jason Richards passed away last night.

A former karter in his native New Zealand, Richards was a regular at the kart track, often having a drive when time would allow. He competed in a number of Rotax Pro Tour events in 2010 and was a regular in the end-of-year Charity TaG Enduros at Todd Road.

He is survived by his wife Charlotte and two children, Sienna (3) and Olivia (2).
