CIK-FIA Cancel Righetti Ridolfi Airbox Homologation
TweetThe CIK-FIA has cancelled the homologation of some Righetti Ridolfi air boxes.
The CIK-FIA regularly does random “post-homologation” spot checks of homologated products to ensure the items remain as per the homologation requirements.
As a consequence of one of these control tests, the inlet silencers of Righetti Ridolfi NOX 23 and NOX 30 have been found not to comply as they no longer meet the noise absorption requirement defined by the homologation regulations (they were homologated in 2010 for a 9-year period under numbers 16/A/18 and 19/SA/18).
"As a consequence, these homologations are cancelled and will no longer be accepted for events governed by the CIK-FIA regulations" the CIK-FIA has stated.
