AKA Rule Addendums

The Australian Karting Association has issed rule addendums number 3 through 7. PDFs of the documents are on the AKA's website HERE.


Addendum #3

Effective immediately - Alteration to sub-rule references in rule 13.17.7
Licences may also be upgraded by SKC, refer 13.19.3(b) and 13.15.5.3


Addendum #4

Effective immediately - Change of class name from Midgets to Cadets.

Addendum #5

Addendum #6

Effective immediately - At the NKC teleconference held 31st January, 2012, the following was approved and is now applicable.

Current rule;
17.18 Track Density / Maximum Number of Starters:


Amended rule to add four karts to the Track Density / Maximum Number of Starters allowed.

Addendum #7

As per Postal Vote – PV2012-03, the NKC by majority vote have approved the removal of the following rules from the 2012 AKA Manual, effective immediately.

Rule 27.02.4
4. From 1st January, 2012, for State Championships ONLY, this class will be restricted to use aluminium alloy hubs and aluminium alloy rims with the following control dimensions;
FRONT RIMS: Internal width between flanges to be between 117mm and 127mm.
Offset is free. Bearing front rims only. No ‘bolt on’ front hubs are permitted.
REAR RIMS:Internal width between flanges to be between 120mm and 152mm. Offset is free.

Rule 27.02.5
5. From 1st January, 2013, at all times, this class will be restricted to use aluminium alloy hubs and rims that comply with rule 27.04.4.

Rule 28.04.4
4. From 1st January, 2012, for State Championships ONLY, this class will be restricted to use aluminium alloy hubs and aluminium alloy rims with the following control dimensions;
