Busy Fortnight For Gutierrez

South Australian George Gutierrez has a busy two weeks ahead of him. Gutierrez recently purchased a Sabre 01 Formula Vee (from former karter and now Formula Ford driver, Nicholas Pavan) and is set to race the vehicle at Mallala this weekend.

“I’m gaining more confidence as each session comes along and know that I can still push that little bit more every time I’m in the car,” stated Gutierrez. At 15-years old, George is set to be the youngest driver at the meeting.

The following weekend, the CIK Stars of Karting kicks off at Bolivar. Gutierrez will take part in the Australian Leopard Challenge that will run alongside the CIK series.

In light of the large field entered, Gutierrez is set to face a challenging battle with some star drivers such as Australian Champion James Sera.

“I’m looking forward to racing against a big field of competitive drivers at my home track” he said.

“Home track knowledge should help us on getting a good result in front of the big crowd that CIK attracts. It’s going to be a big couple of weeks in the seat."
