KTEQ Rentals Announced As Sponsor For Qld Championships

AKA press release

The Gladstone Kart Club and AKA Queensland have recently confirmed KTEQ Rentals as the naming rights sponsor of the upcoming Queensland Bitumen Sprint Kart Championships.

With the event to be contested over the Easter Long Weekend (April 6-8), it is expected that the event will be the largest for the club, which was formed in the late 70’s, for many years.

While much has changed at the Gladstone facility over time, one thing that still remains strong – the sense of community and drive of the Club Members to ensure they put on a fantastic event.

“There has been hundreds of hours of work by the dedicated committee and members, and I’m sure there will be hundreds more over the next six weeks, to make sure everyone who comes to Gladstone enjoys their time in the region,” said Club President Dave Bennett.

“I’m delighted to have KTEQ Rentals on board as our naming rights sponsor, they’ve been a long-time supporter of karting in Western Australia and after they recently opened a branch in Gladstone have seen the Championships as a great way of getting their name out there.

“While much of the work is done prior to the event, we shouldn’t forget that Gladstone has some great drivers who have a real shot at winning a title.  Some of the drivers we’d expect to figure prominently include Jack Bussey, Jason Faint, and Joshua Rogers.”

Competitors looking to nominate for the event are reminded that entries must be received by 5pm Friday 16th March 2012 (see Gladstone Kart Club website for entry forms and further details www.gladstonekartclub.com.au.)

The Gladstone Kart Club would like to remind competitors that while motel accommodation may be limited, many proprietors are advising that they will have further rooms available due to construction workforce on leave during the Easter period.  This availability will be confirmed a few weeks prior to the event.

The Gladstone Club has also made arrangements with Brothers League Club for camping at their facility.  Click here for further information.

The Gladstone Kart Club has also a Billeting option – where Gladstone karting families have available space within their homes for visiting karters – Competitors wishing to take up this option should contact the Club Secretary (Email: geomine@bigpond.net.au).
