Jason Richards Memorial Karting Event
TweetThe Albury Wodonga round of the Rotax Pro Tour on 27-29th April will be the 2012 Jason Richards Memorial event.
International Karting Distributors announced yesterday that they have received permission from Jason's wife, Charlotte, to hold an annual event to commemorate the life of Jason.
"Jason Richards was an avid supporter of all things Motorsport, including the Rotax Pro Tour" IKD published in a statement.
"Jason’s presence in the industry will be sorely missed. His strength while he battled cancer and his ability to continue to find the joy in his love of racing are qualities we can all remember and admire.
Plans are currently underway to celebrate Jason’s life and honour his contribution to karting. This event will
also be fund-raising for Jason’s wife and children.
Further event details will be released as plans are finalised.
