Bode & Visions2Go At CIK Series Opener

press release

Round 1 of the 2012 CIK Stars of Karting Championship represents a tough challenge for 21 year old Ipswich Kart Club member Matthew Bode.

Competing in the Pro Gearbox category for the first time is quote: “The toughest thing I’ve ever had to do!” Unfortunately for Matt, the challenge of competing in the elite Australian karting series was made even harder when greeted by Bolivar’s 38 degree temperatures.

“The heat is just unreal! It seems I’m drinking a bottle of water every 30 seconds!” said an exhausted Bode.

In 2012 Matt will be teaming up with fledgling motorsport marketing and management company Visions2Go who aim to equip him with the skills he needs to become a polished motorsport professional.

“Matt is very much a work in progress and I envisage a very tough year ahead” Visions2Go director Paul Grainger commented, “However he embodies everything we’re looking for in young drivers: Passion, dedication and the determination to succeed. While Matt is yet to record any notable results thus far in his career, I’m confident by year’s end we can raise a few eye brows.”

Away from the track, Matt is working hard to ensure he’s in the best possible shape to deal with whatever is thrown his way throughout the season.

“Cycling 300km a week as well as running and strength training with my manager Paul from Visions2Go is certainly paying off – campaigning the kart here this weekend I can already feel a big difference in my physical performance in the kart” Bode added.

Qualifying and racing at Round 1 of the Castrol Edge supported series runs over the next two days.
