This Weekend's Cooloola Coast Meeting Postponed

Cooloola Kart Club Management advise that the race meeting scheduled at the Gympie circuit for this weekend has been postponed.

During the past weeks we have had torrential downpours which have caused major washouts at various parts of the circuit, a team of people worked diligently during the last week to rectify these issues only to see more inclement weather in the Gympie region cause all the previous work to again be washed out, and in particular catch trap material.

As there is insufficient time or “crystal ball” notice of weather predictions that might be favourable to allow work to bring the track back to the demanded standard, we have made a decision to postpone the 11th March meeting today in order to allow ample time for members and visitors to be informed and give us breathing space to rectify the track requirements.

We regret this situation but we have no control over the weather that has belted the North Coast in the last couple of weeks.

We intend to conduct the postponed event on the 15th April and will seek State approval for this date.
