More Podiums For CRG At Sarno

On the international circuit of Sarno, which regularly hosts some of the most important international events, CRG added a few more podiums to its long list of achievements in the WSK Master Series. On this circuit near Naples, the level of performance was again very high, also thanks to the presence of the best international teams and of a high number of drivers: nearly 140 overall!
With a victory and a second place, Jordon Lennox Lamb staged an impressive performance in KZ2, where he now leads the championship. In KZ1, Jonathan Thonon was the fastest in Sunday's final race after finishing second on Saturday. CRG chassis also showed top performances in KF2 with Felice Tiene, who is still a strong candidate for the title.
KZ1: Thonon One Step Away From His Goal
Jorrit Pex (CRG Holland) was the first to secure pole position behind the wheel of his Italian chassis. Then, Jonathan Thonon moved to the attack in the qualifying heats, followed a few lengths behind by Mirko Torsellini. In Final 1, the two drivers climbed further up and finished 2nd and 5th respectively on their CRG-Maxter-Tecsav. Second at the end of Sunday's heats, Thonon was determined to win Final 2. But just when he was the fastest on track, he had to withdraw with great disappointment, postponing his victory ambitions to the following race. Things did not go better for Mirko Torsellini and Fabian Federer, while Jorrit Pex and Davide Forè saved the honour by entering the top 10.
KZ2: Lennox Lamb Doubles His Stake
Highly motivated after his victory at the beginning of the WSK Master Series at La Conca, Jordon Lennox-Lamb won again in this start of season. At Sarno, he put his dominant stamp on Final 1, where he crossed the finish line as winner with a lead of more than two seconds over his nearest pursuer. Fifth on the grid of Final 2, the Briton showed again all the qualities of his CRG chassis and Maxter engine coming straight from the Italian factory. Although he lost out on victory by just 0.01 seconds against Celenta, his extraordinary second place allowed him to take the lead of the Championship, with only one meeting to go.
KF2: CRG Group in the Spotlight
Felice Tiene (CRG-BMB-KVS) staged a flawless performance during qualifying: pole position and an impressive series of five victories in five heats. These top level performances were a confirmation of his success achieved 15 days earlier at La Conca! During the final phase, the Italian driver engaged again in a hard battle with Verstappen. Second in the pre-final, Tiene could have secured this place in the final race too, but was forced to withdraw. "It is a pity when you give away points like that, I had the chance to keep the lead of the WSK Master Series before next meeting at Castelletto", Felice confessed. But the CRG group was anyway satisfied with Tom Joyner's (LH Racing Team) second podium in a row.
KF3: Palou Regains Ground
Alex Palou continues to show his talent race after race, in a class where a few hundredths of a second can make the difference. After qualifying with an encouraging 4th place out of 70 drivers overall, the young Spanish karter drove flawlessly in the heats and even won once. He began pre-final B full of hopes, but unfortunately slipped to the back of the pack at the start. Behind the wheel of his CRG-BMB-KVS, Palou set about a stunning recovery drive and conquered his place in the final. He kept his momentum going and climbed up from 18th to his 6th final place, while also setting excellent lap times.
