Two Victories For CRG At Margutti Trophy

CRG has added two more successes to its already long list of achievements in major international meetings since the beginning of the 2012 season. At the 23rd edition of the Andrea Margutti Trophy, held at Lonato, drivers from the Italian team dominated the two main classes: Fabian Federer (CRG-Maxter) won in KZ2 and Felice Tiene (CRG-BMB) in KF2.
KZ2: Federer 1st, Lennox-Lamb 4th
There were as many as 4 CRG-Maxter karts that crossed the line of the final in the first 11 places: yet another proof of their high level of performance! After his three victories in three heats, Fabian Federer entered the final phase as the favourite. The Italian kept the momentum going, left his rivals behind and crossed the finish line solo! Jordon Lennox-Lamb concluded with a good fourth place, not far from the podium. As for the CRG group, it is interesting to note the return of the Kali-Kart brand, with Luca Tilloca's sixth place. The Brazilian Gabriel Dias Falavina managed to conclude in the top 10, just ahead of another CRG-Maxter, driven by the Austrian Marcel Müller.
KF2: Tiene Above All the Others
Felice Tiene staged a flawless performance at Lonato: pole position in timed qualifying, victory in the three heats and then in the pre-final and final, in both cases with the fastest lap time during the race! "My CRG-BMB was simply fantastic", said the big winner of the day. "The team has done a great job, while KVS preparations have played again an important role in this victory. I really wanted to win the Andrea Margutti Trophy!"
Meanwhile, Eddy Tinini and Luke Varley moved up several places in the pack, while Tom Joyner continued his excellent series with his LH-BMB: 4th at the Winter Cup, 3rd and then 2nd at the WSK Master Series at La Conca and Sarno, and again 2nd this time, a constant presence in the lead places that says a lot about the qualities of his kart and of his team.
KF3: Palou on the Podium
After a not so good qualifying phase, Alex Palou and the CRG team showed their capacity to react. Constantly working in the right direction to improve kart performances, the Spaniard gradually progressed in the standings during the whole meeting. At the end of the final, he had the satisfaction of taking the third step of the podium, with two leading drivers very close to him. The CRG Team had the pleasure to welcome the Canadian Zachary Claman-De Melo, who concluded with a very encouraging 14th place.
