DR Kart Shines At Pro Tour Gympie

DR Kart driver Travis Kodric has come away from Pro Tour at Gympie over the weekend with a fantastic 2nd aboard his new DR S97 model kart in the hotly contested Rotax Heavy class.
After setting the fastest time in Friday practice, Travis qualified his DR S97 kart fifth in 36 strong grid. From there he only went forward with two 3rd place finishes and 2nd in the heats. He started the pre final off P3. Travis finished the pre final 2nd and set the fastest lap along the way. The final saw the same result with him finishing only meters behind current National Champion, Troy Woolston. The result was made even better as it was only Travis's second race in Rotax Heavy.

"I couldn't ask for a better weekend really" Kodric said. "We definitely had the pace to win, but second is great for me and DR Kart."
"I think the weekend went well" DR Kart Australia's Jace Lindstrom added. "We are really starting to mix it with the best now. There has been a lot of time spent talking back and forth from the factory in Italy and working with DR Kart Rotax teams in Europe with setup and ideas.
"It shows that we have improved a lot since Todd Road and will only get stronger as the next round comes around and the European season starts. This is only going to help DR Kart Australia improve more and more.
"The new S97 model is really a serious Rotax winner and that's what Danilo Rossi has tried to do, and succeeded very well."
Test karts are available to try and arrive and drive programs are also available for Pro Tour events
