KFC & Pepsi Sponsor Indonesian Karting Team

The Indonesian race team Sean GP has expanded to four drivers in KF2 as it embarks on its second European racing season.

The team is managed by Riccardo Gelael and has been built around young Indonesian hopeful Sean Gelael. It enjoys the support of KFC Indonesia (the familiy's company owns the KFC franchise for Indonesia), Indo Food and Pepsi Cola.

In addition to Gelael, the Sean GP team will field Danish driver Nicolaj Moller Madsen (2010 European Champion), Italian Antonio Giovinazzi (3rd at the 2011 World Cup) and Belgian Sami Luka (reigning European champion).

The team will utilise Tony Kart chassis with either TM or Vortex engines. It has also engaged top European tuners, such as Renato Merlin, who has been at the forefront of kart engine tuning for two decades.

The 2012 season started with success at the Indonesia Kart Prix in January, then Sami Luka climbed onto the Margutti podium at Lonato.

The programme will continue with the famous WSK Euro Series and its 4 rounds, the Asia- Pacific Championship at Suzuka, the two European Championship meetings (in Germany and UK), and the CIK-FIA World Cup held in Spain at the end of September, finishing at the Las Vegas Supernationals, in November.
