FRONT ROW TRIPLE FOR BROCK PLUMB

Arrow Karts driver Brock Plumb has put in a sterling performance during the action at the KTEQ Rentals Queensland Karting Championships in Gladstone today.

The Brisbane teenager (right, Real Deal Media pic) has secured a front row start in all three categories that he is competing in – including a pair of pole positions in the Junior National Heavy and Junior Clubman categories – for tomorrow’s championship finals. Local driver Josh Rogers enjoyed a great battle with fellow Queenslander Harrison Oddie in the Rookies category before taking the win to secure pole position for tomorrow’s final.

In the highly competitive Clubman Light category, it is three-time Australian Champion, and local Gladstone driver, Cian Fothergill who fended off the challenges by KTEQ Rentals-backed driver Ben Stewart for the win in the pre-final.

Tomorrow’s action will consist of a 23-lap final for each of the 15 championship categories with racing set to begin at 9:30am after the official opening ceremony where Gladstone Mayor Gail Sellers, Local State Member of Parliament Liz Cunningham and four Elected Councillors will be in attendance.
