"U18" World Championship & Karting Academy Update

The CIK-FIA has extended the close of entry for the 2012 "U18" World Championship to April 23 (at midnight, Swiss time).

The governing body cited the recent changes to the calendar of the KF1 World Championship as a reason to leave the entry open.

74 drivers have already entered for the series. The official entry list will be published next week.

The Karting Academy that runs alongside the U18 series will feature drivers from a number of countries that have not contested the series before, such as USA, Canada, Lebanon, Sri Lanka - and an entry from Australia...
