Southern City Classic Goes Seniors Only

The Oakleigh Go Kart Club isn't afraid of trying a new race format. Buoyed by the success of the juniors-only summer Top Guns series, the club has decided to run their annual Southern City Classic as a seniors-only event.

With no junior classes running, competitors will get to enjoy increased track time.

The meeting will run on Saturday May 12 and finish under lights after a mid-afternoon start. Practice will be available Saturday morning. The circuit will be open Friday for pit setup and entry confirmation only.

Offering a set of 9 senior classes, the race format will include qualifying, 2 x 10 lap heats, 12 lap pre-final, final over 15 laps.

Entry closes Wednesday May 9. No late entries will be accepted.
