Aussies Through To Finals In Germany
TweetPierce Lehane and Joseph Burton-Harris have both made it through to the finals at the second round of the Rotax MAX Euro Challenge in Germany overnight.
Lehane (Alonso) had a strong run in Senior MAX, taking a 4th, two wins and a 7th to sit second in the rankings behind Ed Brand (Formula K, 4th, 1st, 3rd, 2nd). Scott Harrison (Tony Kart), John Froberg (Tony Kart), Petr Bezel (MS Kart), Sean Babbington (Alonso) and Makino Tadasuke (Birel) also won heat races.
Burton-Harris (Formula K) is ranked 15th in Juniors after carding 5th, 6th and 21st (was orignally 16th, but handed a 10s penalty) in his three heats. Janneau Esmeiler (Intrepid) is the top ranked driver and undefeated so far. Other heat winners were Lando Norris (Tony Kart), Sam Schippers (Intrepid) and Harry Webb (Tony Kart).
