Vic Junior Superkart Championship, Round 3

Round three of the Victorian Superkart Junior State Championship was held at Winton Motor raceway near Benalla on May 13 under fine conditions and the five Juniors again did not disappoint with good clean racing all day.
Tim Clarke (VIC) took the early lead driving strongly for three of the heats with James Allen (WA) chipping away at improvements throughout the day and taking the win from Clarke in the final. Connor Nicholson (VIC) maintained a steady string of third places in a brand new chassis and is bound to be even quicker at the next meeting. Dylan Howell from (S.A.) and Jamie Mac Donald (VIC) struggled a little for pace but had a consistent day.
The Juniors will meet again for the National titles at Phillip Island in September where Tim Clarke will no doubt fight hard to retain his number one position before the final round of the State Championship at Phillip Island in November.
