Vic Country Series, Round 3

press release

A crystal clear Autumn sky and a fast tight track greeted karter’s for round 3 of the Victorian Country Series at Horsham on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th May. In the first 2 rounds of the series competitors had to race in trying weather conditions.  It was great to see competitors race hard and fast and demonstrate great skills on a friendly country track.

Horsham continues to bring in the numbers year after year, with the largest entries received for the rounds this year - 137. Thank you to the competitors for your support. Remember to visit the official Series facebook page www.facebook.com/victoriancountryseries for all the news and photo's from the rounds.

It was great to see this event so well supported.  Many Melbourne, interstate and country drivers travel long distances to compete in the Country Circuit Series.  The Wimmera club has done it tough with the track being flooded in January last year.

EXPANDING: The club has currently commenced a re-building stage after receiving funding for track expansion and other projects. The club has also enjoyed a substantial increase in members, including 6 Juniors, which is encouraging for the long-term future of our relatively small club.

A special thanks to all our volunteers, flaggies, stewards and the wonderful ladies in the canteen, thanks to our scale marshals and an extra big thank you to John, our grounds keeper and everybody that helped make the event so successful.
On behalf of the Wimmera Kart Racing Club I would like to say thank you for coming to our race meeting. We hope you had fun and if you did please tell your karting mates and we will see you next year!
