It is with much sadness we report the passing of Franco Guitoli earlier today.

Franco was a big name in the karting scene from the late 80s through to the early 2000s. He was the face of PCR in Australia for many years and was well known for his passion for the sport and nurturing the future of young drivers.

He helped many young karters become big names in the sport and paved the pathway for dozens of domestic racers to compete overseas.

Franco passed away this morning, aged 72, just weeks after being diagnosed with lung cancer. He leaves behind wife Anna, children Stephanie, Sabrina, Sergio, Sandro and Sonia, plus nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
