Holihan Set For CIK Stars of Karting Return

press release

The Kosmic Racing NSW team welcomes back Daniel Holihan in KF1. He returns to racing from a lengthy break due to rib damage received from a racing incident in late April. Dan has been doing plenty of work to recover from his injury away from the track. He has attended the physio and enlisted the service of a personal trainer to help speed up the recovery time. Dan is still hoping to prove himself for his new team Kosmic Racing NSW.

“It’s a shame I had such a sudden injury after a racing crash. I certainly did not plan on having this big of a break from racing and with an average start to the year, I’m hoping to make the most out of it. I think this weekend will be good for me to clear my head and just focus on getting inside the top 10. Said Daniel Holihan.

Cian Fothergill heads to round 3 with a point to prove after leading the final race at the last round up until the 2nd last lap. The team is very hopeful that Cian can turn around that disappointment and come away from this round leading the championship.

“I was very happy with the way the kart went at the last round, unfortunately we fell a little short in the last race due to a mechanical issue but that’s just the way it goes sometimes. I am sure round 3 will be a lot better for myself and the team as a whole”. Said Cian Fothergill.

The team will once again be missing Matthew Waters who has decided to sit this round out while he still nurses his rib injury, Matt will be heading to the AKA Nationals in Darwin with the team giving him that extra 2 week recovery that he needs to be fully fit.

Dimitri Agathos goes into round 3 full of confidence after a spectacular drive at the last round that saw him pass all but 2 of the KF3 field. It was a very good drive from one of the teams young stars.

Lachlan Gibbons is also high on confidence, he put in a great qualifying effort to put himself right in it at the last round. The whole team will be watching the boys as they aim for a podium finish in the racing.

The team also has a new driver in Tom Chitty. Tom will be racing in the Junior National Heavy category. Tom has improved as a driver and is working hard on his fitness, hopefully we will see Tom in the top junior category at the fourth round.

“I am very pleased to see all the drivers are working hard on their fitness, our Kosmic chassis and Iame engines will again give the drivers the very best chance of success, Its great to have Dan back for this round his personality certainly gives the team a boost,” said Peter Galvin Kosmic Racing NSW Team Principal.
