The 4 min qualifying was fast and furious with local exponent Cody Giles showing clearly he knows he’s way around this punchy technical track.  Series leader Dimitri Agathos shared the front row with Nick Becker in a solid 3rd and Reagan Angel backing up from this first round solid showing in 4th.

Both 10 lap Heats provided plenty of action however surprisingly with the same results for the top 5. Giles followed by Agathos, Sandrone, Angel and Tilbrook.

The pre final saw several incidences on the first corner with Sandrone, Tilbrook , Gleeson, Schofield and Silestro all enjoying a prime vantage point for the rest of the race. Giles continued his blistering form with Agathos closely behind. Angel came home 3th,  Becker 4th and Caitlin Wood doing the girls proud in 5th.

The all important 20 lap final was next with some threatening clouds about in fact it had been raining most of the day just 20km north of the track. Luckily the rain did stay away. From the outset Angel took advantage of his 3rd position with a bold move up the inside of turn one surprising both Giles and Agathos. Angel showed good early pace to defend the lead for 5 laps until Giles made a move for 1st at turn 1.

Agathos took a further 5 laps to hall in Angel. Meanwhile by mid race Sandrone made his way to 4th recovering from the prefinal DNF.  Agathos set his sights on Giles hunting him down in the second half of the race showing his experience to seize the smallest of opportunities to take the lead with one corner to go winning  .073 sec, with Sandrone working his way through the pack for 3rd just .2 sec behind the eventual winner.  Angel and Davidson finished 4th and 5th respectively.
