Arrow X2 Wins On Debut At CIK Stars of Karting

press release

The all new Arrow X2 claimed a total of 2 podiums at the hotly contested Castrol CIK Stars of Karting event held in Ipswich at the weekend.

Walking away with a 1st and a 2nd was the Queensland duo of Brendan Nelson and Adam Mercer who were both debuting the new chassis.

Brendan Nelson went undefeated in the Leopard Heavy category dominating the entire field on what was to be an extremely successful weekend for the young Queenslander.

After placing himself and his brand new Arrow X2 kart off the number one spot on the grid, Brendan went on to win every heat as well as the Pre-Final before taking the chequered flag in the final by an impressive margin of over 5 seconds. Brendan has cemented himself as the driver to watch in the upcoming Nationals held at Hidden Valley.

Adam Mercer also proved to be fiercely competitive in Leopard Light, not only on his debut in the X2 Chassis but in his first ever event piloting an Arrow making the switch from Kosmic.

Adam showed promising pace on Friday before stepping out to qualify 2nd behind multiple national champion James Sera. Two 3rds and a 1st place saw him line up toe to toe with Sera on the front row for the final and after an intense battle Adam came out the other side with a highly rated second.

With his debut under his belt Adam looks now to competing in the next round of the series and continuing his success in the new kart.
