AKA Tyre Tender Documents Now Available

The Australian Karting Association (AKA) would like to advise interested parties that the tender documents for the supply of dry weather (slick) tyres for the period 2013 – 2016 are now available.

There are three groups of tyres currently up for tender, outlined as follows:
- Group 1 – TaG/Sportsman 125cc
- Group 2 – Clubman/TaG Restricted
- Group 3 – National 100cc/Cadets/Rookies

The tender submissions including the delivery of all tyres for testing must be at the AKA’s National Office by 5:00pm (AEST) on Friday July 20, 2012.

The submitted tyres will be tested, by the successful tyre tester (applications are open until June 29 with documents available from the National Office), between Monday July 30, 2012 and Friday November 9, 2012.

The tyre test reports will then be collated and finalised before being distributed to the State Associations.  The selection of the successful tenders will be voted on by the National Karting Council on Saturday December 8, 2012.
