The National Office of the Australian Karting Association (AKA) is on the move later this month with the finalisation of a property purchase in conjunction with Karting New South Wales (inc.).

The property, to be jointly owned and tenanted by both parties, is located at 12 Macquarie Avenue, Penrith with the purchase settling last Friday July 13.

Over the coming two weeks, the process of moving the contents from the premises of almost 20 years in High Street, Penrith, will be complete for the National Office, with August 1 set down as the first full day of operation from the new premises for staff.

Karting New South Wales staff will then relocate to the new premises shortly after on a date yet to be determined.

National President Craig Denton believes that the joint venture on the purchase of the property provides the AKA with a strong hold on its financial future.

“This purchase of the property marks a significant step in the strong future for the AKA Nationally as we will now have more of an asset for the karters which will then assist us with further financial gain in the future,” said Denton.

“I’d like to thank the members of the National Karting Council and the Board of Karting NSW for their foresight and their understanding of the benefits that an asset of this magnitude can bring to the Association.”

All contact details for the National Office will remain the same.
