Pex Picks Up German KZ2 Championship

press release

2012 seems to be Jorrit Pex's year. Pex is the 'pet' of CRG Holland, and he has achieved an impressive series of successes. After conquering the CIK-FIA KZ1 European Championship in Wackersdorf and the KZ1 WSK Euro Series title in Zuera, the 19-year-old Dutch driver got his third title victory of the season on 19th August in Germany, where he won the KZ2 DKM Championship for CRG Holland in Hahn/Hunstruck, with still a race to go.

On the circuit of Hahn, Jorrit Pex, after setting the second fastest time in the time trials behind Max Verstappen (always on CRG and at his debut in KZ2 with CRG Holland), had to be content with the 16th place in race 1. But in race 2 he was unstoppable and he finally arrived in third. Thanks to the 16 points he got, he won the title with still a race to go, also thanks to the compulsory discard of two results of the championship.

Jorrit Pex's winning streak in the German championship  began on 22nd April in Kerpen, where he palced third and first in the two finals of the first weekend of the season. Then he kept on winning in Wackersdorf, with an awesome double win on 27th May and another double win in Ampfing on 17th June.

A beautiful series of results, with 5 victories and two third places: these results allowed Jorrit Pex to win the German Championship, which - this year - can boast an excellent number of entrants (46 in KZ2 in Hahn) and many of them are international top drivers. The German championship will end on 14th October in Genk.

THE IMMINENT KZ1 WORLD CUP. With this third title conquered in the season, Jorrit Pex has achieved am awesome treble, which makes him one of the favourite drivers for the next, important international appointment: the KZ1 World Cup in Sarno on 2nd September, where - not by chance! - he will take part in the competition with the race number 1.
