  • A kids program to help develop the skills of young drivers was discussed at the AKA's recent NKC meeting. The program is designed to introduce youngsters (5 to 7) to driving skills at an early age. One of the key principles is to focus not on any sort of racing, but rather the fun and enjoyment of getting behind the wheel. a sub-committee was formed to develop a plan for the program and the committee requests feedback/thoughts from the karting industry on the mechanics of the program to ensure the best possible outcome. Any feedback from industry members is to be provided in an email to Lee Hanatschek via lee.hanatschek@karting.net.au no later than November 30.
