The Fields Are Set For Rotax World Finals

With all the qualifying heats and last chance races done, the 34-kart fields are now set for the final phase of the 2012 Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals.
Pierce Lehane has been the best performing Australian and will start the Senior MAX pre-final from pole position. He remains undefeated, having won races in both dry and wet conditions.
James Golding is the next highest ranked Aussie, a clean, consistent run putting him on grid 7 for the Junior pre-final. Hamish Leighton is 11th in DD2 Masters, Joseph Mawson 14th in Senior MAX, Kyle Ensbey 16th and Jason Pringle 25th in DD2 while Brent Coghlan is also safe in DD2 Masters, ranked 25th. Joseph Burton-Harris made it into the junior field by taking 3rd in the last chance race.
Unfortunately, a number of our drivers are now out of the event, Daniel Rochford, Jose Ruiz, Troy Woolston and Thomas Randle experiencing various issues and not making the top 6 in their last chance race. This was a particularly cruel blow for Randle who has proven to have pace to run at the pointy end of the Junior class.
