Arrow Hand Out The Rewards Cash

  7 December 2012

Leigh Nicolaou became $10,000 richer today when his name was the first drawn for the 2012 Arrow Rewards prizes.

Conducted at the DPE factory in Melbourne, the names of the 25 drivers who had applied for the rewards were placed into the draw. The number of tickets they had was based on their success in Arrow chassis at state championship level throughout the year.

The first five major prize winners were:

  • $10,000 (1st ticket drawn) - Leigh Nicolaou (Vic)
  • $5,000 (2nd ticket drawn) - Nathan Davis (WA)
  • $2,500 (3rd ticket drawn) - Ben Stewart (Qld)
  • $1,500 (4th ticket drawn) - Damon Strongman (Vic)
  • $1,000 (5th ticket drawn) - Lewis Sutherland (WA)

The sixth through tenth tickets won Arrow packs worth $350 - Jordan Boys (Vic), Nick Rowe (WA), Bryce Fullwood (NT), Brock Plumb (Vic) and Joseph Mawson (NSW).

"Arrow Karts would like to thank Mark Wicks from KartSportNews for donating his time to come and officiate the draw" Arrow Sales & Marketing Manager Steve Johnson said.

"Arrow Karts would like to congratulate the winners and also thank all the place getters & participants in all the 2012 AKA State Championship events.

"This draw concludes the 2012 Arrow Rewards program where we paid out over $50,000 in cash and prizes to lucky Arrow karters."

Terms and conditions of the draw stated that once a driver had won a prize, they were ineligible for further prizes. This was fortunate for some of the others, as Nicolaou's name was actually drawn several times.

"We joked that Leigh should go and get himself a lottery ticket today, because his name just kept coming out" commented Wicks.

"You had to be in it to win it, and Lewis Sutherland was proof of that - just one ticket and he's got himself $1000 cash. But then someone like poor old Brendan Nelson, who had the most tickets, drew nothing."
