AKA Slick Tyre Contracts For 2013-16Tweet
The National Karting Council of the AKA decided on the dry-weather control tyres for the period 2013 to 2016 in Adelaide yesterday.
A total of eight products were presented by tenderers for testing in the Group 1 category, a total of three manufacturers presented products for testing for Group 2 while seven products were presented for testing in the Group 3 category. “This year’s tender was probably one of the most competitive that we’ve had,” said National President Craig Denton. “The NKC spent a number of hours deliberating about the best product in each of the groups and in the end it was a very hard decision for everyone involved. On behalf of the NKC I’d like to thank the members of the karting industry who presented tyres as a part of the tender process and congratulate the successful tenderers.”
