Small snippets of news...

  • A number of 'state rules' will apply to various karting series in Western Australia next year. Special regulations will apply to the various Zone series, plus specific classes. Links to these documents can be found on the Tiger Kart Club's website HERE.

  • A WSK 2012 Yearbook will be released at the organisation's Grand Gala this weekend in Italy. The 156-page book is a photo story of WSK Promotion’s seventh season consisting of 8 race events over the year. The book also retraces the previous six seasons together with a gallery of drivers who, after competing in WSK, achieved results in car racing.

  • Reverse Graphics has posted a gallery of images from this year's South Australian Championship on their website. Check the pics from Mount Gambier HERE.

  • Kartmag of France reports that former Benetton and Renault F1 team manager, Flavio Briatore, is preparing to build a karting facility in Sardinia. The track will be built close to a popular holiday venue frequented by billionaires.

  • The same website also carries news of a new KZ engine for 2013. According to the site, the Modena 125 motor has a lower weight and lower centre of gravity compared to other KZ engines. It also features a cooling system that goes through the gearbox. More HERE.

  • Over 120 drivers across 5 categories competed in the 9th running of the Easykart Panamerican Championship last weekend in Maracay, in Venezuela. For 2013, the 10th Anniversary Easykart Panamerican Championship will race in Colombia.

  • The Queesland Superkart Club has presented the 2012 awards: Hard Luck Award - Brian Wild. Encouragement Awards - Paul Gregory and Warwick Donsky. Best Presented Gearbox Superkart - TJP Motorsport. Best Presented Rotax Superkart - Nick Contarino. Best Presented Gearbox Superkart Team  - Jason Smith, TJP Motorsport.
