Hall Hails At Winter Series RoundTweet
Strawberry’s new signing Connor Hall gave the reigning World and European Rotax champions a late Christmas present with a superb victory on his debut at PFi on 2 January.
It was also the brand new Tony Kart Racer EVK chassis’ maiden win for Strawberry Racing in British competition.
Connor was in electrifying form from the outset, starting his first heat from 19th place on the grid before powering his way to first in emphatic style. He followed this up with another well taken triumph to seal pole position for the main final.
The number five seeded Super One star delivered a clear demonstration of his ambitions for the coming season with a dominant lights-to-flag victory, leaving his nearest rival to trail home nearly two seconds behind him.
“I’m really excited after watching him do that,” said Strawberry team manager, Warwick Ringham. “Previously Connor’s only had a few days testing with us; so to come to PFi, go up against a strong field and beat them in both wet and dry conditions - and on a completely new chassis, with an unfamiliar team - is very promising.”
