Caterham Kart Breaks Cover

  12 January 2013

While the series was announced this time last year, Caterham has finally unveiled their new kart chassis.

The Caterham CK-01 kart will be used in a one-make TAG series. Open to novices only, Caterham says the championship is aimed at a maximum of 120 competitors aged between 13 and 16 from families who might not have considered karting as an option due to the related costs.

The new kart appears to follow traditional kart design, but has a white chassis with 'Caterham Colours' for the bodywork and accessories. The protoype is on display on the Caterham stand at the AutoSport International show in the UK.

The all-inclusive season package is priced around AUD$7600 (plus taxes) and includes the CK-01 kart (ready to race), kart trolley, entry to the six events and guidance through the process of obtaining the required racing licence.

The start date for the series has now been pushed back to early 2014.
