  • Tony Kart has announced the official team drivers for 2013. In KZ, experienced gearbox pilots Marco Ardigò and Rick Dreezen will be joined by Mirko Torsellini and Flavio Camponeschi. In KF, the lineup is Takashi Kasai (Japan), Andy Chang (Macau), Karol Basz (Poland) and the American Logan Sargeant. Young German Mick Betsch will race KF Junior.

  • Maranello have also made driver announcements. Belgian Yannick De Brabander will compete with the team in KZ1. KZ2 will see Marco Zanchetta, Massimo Dante, Andreas Sebastian Hansen and Wim Eyckmans behind the wheel. Stefano Griggio has joined as the team's new Technical Manager.

  • GMP Racing Products advise they have the new Hero 3 GoPro Camera in stock, plus a range of accessories. "We have stock of BLACK versions! The most popular (and hardest to find in Australia) is the all new BLACK version. This camera has the ability to take footage which is higher quality than most modern feature films!!!   • KartX report on facebook that after 25 years, Tim Craig is no longer involved with the running of Kart 1 Racing. "As of 18/1/2013 Natalie and myself will no longer be involved in the day to day running of Kart 1 Racing. After many successful years with the business we have decided to pursue other interests" the duo stated. Fergus Symes has acquired the Craig's share of Kart1Racing.

  • Video of Birel KartSport Australia's 5-day 3-track test in Victoria. The team spent two days at Puckapunyal (venue for the Rotax Nationals later in the year) followed by a day at Geelong. The group then battled 40-degree heat at Todd Road in preparation for this weekend's Pro Tour meeting. That's dedication!
