- Victorian Ricky Capo will race a Praga kart in the KZ class in 2013. Capo has been running Maranello chassis continuously since he started in Cadets in 2007. He has already conducted testing of his new kart at several tracks. "We are planning on racing the Stars of Karting, the New Zealand Nationals and some European races, all in KZ2" he told KartSportNews.
- Damon Strongman is another to change chassis for 2013. A long-time Arrow campaigner, Strongman now races an FA Kart in Junior Clubman. However, he will suit up aboard Haase in KFJ in the CIK Stars of Karting championship.
- Melbourne-based karter Daniel Paronetto is working on a project to assist athletes get sponsorship. "As we all know the sponsorship industry needs to evolve from it's current state and I am pursuing that evolution" he informed KartSportNews. "The sponsorship industry is in desperate need of transformation. Searching for sponsorship has become an extremely expensive matter on its own. - Tiger Kart Club Life Member Rex Wedd passed away on Thursday, January 17.
Rex commenced his involvement with the club when his late son, Simon, started karting as a Junior in the '90s. The Wedds were very dedicated members of the club and Rex served as President in 1995 and 1996. Sympathies go out to his family.
