Above: Who forgot the transponder, Wallie? Matt was late out of the grid for the Rotax Heavy final - not that it mattered much as he had to start last anyway. Having won the pre-final, Wall was DSQ'd for being underweight after part of his kart had came off. The local champ set fastest lap on his way back to 6th.

Above: Laura Tillett raced Rotax Light while she was in Australia with her dad, Steve, of Tillett seats fame. While neither were particularly happy with her race day result, both enjoyed their time in Australia and were very impressed with the Pro Tour. "We started changing things that we normally wouldn't, and of course we went backwards" Steve lamented later. Laura had positive words for the circuit, saying it's better than most in the UK. "I found it fairly smooth compared to some of the ones I've raced. A lot of the tracks back home are quite patchy, but at least this has the same surface all the way around. It's got some slow spots, but it's still quite flowing." And what of Melbourne's perfect, sunny mid-20s day? "No problem, just like an English summer" she smiled.
