Karting Returns To Gold Coast

The inaugural 'Race of Stars' will see karting return to the Gold Coast for the first time in over five years. The event, a joint initiative between V8 Supercars and Karting Queensland, will take place at a relatively new facility at Pimpama. The meeting will feature the three CIK 'Pro' classes, three 'state' classes and a ProAm race. More detail HERE.

Sunday July 21

Pierce Lehane finished 7th in the final at the Euro MAX Challenge round in the UK tonight. Starting from grid 9, Lehane dropped several positions in the opening laps but then ran as high as 3rd in what was a rather messy race with a lot of blocking. Ed Brand crossed the line first. Meanwhile at the European KF Championship round in Italy, none of the three Aussies competing made it to the final. Joseph Mawson did come close, however, missing a transfer by just two places. (Update: Joey made his final after 2 competitors were excluded from the pre-final, but DNFd.)
