  • The feature class at the 2015 Brian Farley Memorial will be for Clubman-spec Yamaha KT100S engines only. The 'Pro Clubman' category, which has traditionally attracted a class field each year, will run at 150kg. There is also a Senior Clubman class on offer at the meeting, where the new IAME will compete against the Yamaha but at 7kg heavier. Junior National, Cadet9 and Cadet12 classes will offer separate trophies for 'old-style' and 'pathway' engined karts. The Pro Clubman winner will receive an Arai SK6 helmet with irriduim visor and custom paint job (total value: $3000). The event takes place on February 7 & 8 at Eastern Creek. Supp Regs can be downloaded from the KartSportNews Race Calendar page.

  • Combined Districts Kart Club advise that entries are now open on the KA CMS for the upcoming Ladies Special Event at Lithgow on January 24-25. Season opening meetings will take place the week prior in Tasmania (TaG Twilight Thunder, Launceston) and Victoria (Junior Top Guns, Oakleigh). Again, the Supp Regs for these events can be downloaded from the KartSportNews Race Calendar page.

  • Just prior to the New Year, Jordan Lennox-Lamb was listed by CRG as one of their factory drivers for 2015. Come 2015 however, and Lennox-Lamb has popped up with BirelART! • After mixed signals from North America about who will distribute CRG products in 2015, CRG boss Giancarlo Tinini released a statement regarding their "change of strategy" for North America. The K1 Speed organisation has taken over from PSL Karting. This would appear a bold move by CRG as just last month they named PSL Karting as their number one distributor in the world for the second year running. “I am pleased to announce that CRG will be adopting a new distribution and race development program for the entire North American continent with the K1 Speed organization" Tinini said. "The choice to partner with K1 is based on the fact that they have demonstrated an exemplary and unique format on a national level like only few entities have done before them. Their system places brand awareness and service as a top priority accompanied by a well-structured program at all their locations. This is exactly what the racing segment of our business requires if we want to offer the same level of service, brand awareness and race support to all our CRG devoted clients."

  • Read the latest opinion and plans of SKUSA's Tom Kutscher via an extensive interview with ekartingnews. The private promoter has moved away from multi-engined TaG classes - and even the Rotax category - to offer only IAME engined TaG classes in 2015. SKUSA will continue to evolve their licence programme and will be more strict on who qualifies for Pro Tour status. To read more on these items, plus a whole lot more, click HERE.

  • 2014 was a great year for Tim Clarke:
