2015 will be a year of massive change for the landscape of Australian karting and IPKarting Australia is again positioned to deliver some amazing results in its Praga and OK1 brands with an enviable roster of amazing talent and some of the biggest names in the sport who will continue to prove themselves here in Australia and overseas.

The 2015 team will be boosted with the inclusion of Australia’s number one junior driver Dylan Hollis taking to the track in Praga and backed by Melbourne’s CC Racing.

Thirteen-year-old Dylan Hollis from Victoria has just capped off a stellar year with multiple state titles and the Australian championship behind him, and now the four-time VKA Karter of the Year eyes new challenges aboard his Praga kart.  Dylan’s first competitive outing will be round one of Rotax Pro Tour in the Junior Max class at the Go Kart Club of Victoria’s Todd Road track across the Australia Day weekend.

“We’re hugely excited to welcome Dylan to the IPKarting family and look forward to working with him and his dad Marc, alongside Pete and Clint at CC Racing.  Dylan is certainly a driver going places and we are proud to be able to assist him on his journey,” said Ken Bensley from IPKarting Australia.

“We have such a strong track record of delivering results with our amazing drivers and this is due to the great support that we can provide, that starts with our Australian dealers and continues through from our international base giving the team every confidence.

"Pete and Clint Cathcart of CC Racing are veterans of the sport and their engines and guidance has helped many top drivers steer their way to success.”

Dylan himself is excited to get the year underway and relishes the challenge of jumping into the hotly contested and highly competitive Junior Max class of the Rotax Pro Tour.

“We are thrilled to be joining the Praga Karts team with IPKarting Australia and CC Racing,” said Dylan.  “Our aim is to continue our momentum of 2014 whilst being provided with the opportunity to be challenged and for me to continue to evolve as a motorsports athlete.”

As 2015 gets underway IPKarting will deliver a solid calendar of events for its Praga and OK1 drivers concentrating on major races in Australia and New Zealand as well as key opportunities overseas.

2014 was a big year for overseas success for the team with Lochie Hughes’ stunning victories and series championship win at the multi-round Florida Winter Tour as well as winning the Rok Cup USA followed up by his first European outings including the Mini Rok World Cup before setting a blazing pace in the TaG Cadet class at the Las Vegas SuperNats.  In Vegas Lochie was joined by team drivers Liam McLellan, Jac Preston, Zayd Tones and Sean Bolger all enjoying one of the biggest kart events in the world.

As the year closed out IPKarting Australia and New Zealand also fielded four drivers attending the Rotax Max Challenge World Final in Valencia, Spain.  Having previously attended World Finals in prior years Daniel Kinsman (NZ DD2) and Troy Woolston (AUS DD2) were joined by first-time Finals racers Dylan Drysdale (NZ JMAX) and Jordan Boys (AUS DD2).  It would be a highlight event for the youngsters not dogged by bad luck that both Kinsman and Woolston faced in the rain-soaked event.

The Australian driver that stamped his mark on the world scene was Praga’s sensational Jordan Boys in DD2.  From qualifying the Albury-Wodonga driver showed that he was fast and determined to mix it with the big boys in the changing and challenging conditions.

In the end Boys came home with an incredible 3rd place against seasoned and celebrated multi-world champs Sean Babington and Ben Cooper.  Boys will again return to Pro Tour in 2015 to contest DD2 and it will be interesting to see his growth after racing at an international level.

Big congratulations to the Moore family on the addition of the newest member of the team, Nate Moore.  New dad Trent Moore may have hung up his race boots for the moment but Nate may be the start of the next generation of kart racers along with his Uncle Lane.  We’re sure Grandad Kerry will be happy to swing the spanners for young Nate as soon as he can get behind the wheel!  Congrats to Trent and Candi on welcoming their new baby boy before Christmas.
