"It's exciting to be a part of a factory team like DPE and after doing some testing a few weeks ago with the new Mini Rok, I'm hoping to be mixing it with the best kids from around the country" Wyllie said via the team's announcement..

Wyllie has been a class act in the Cadet category in Tasmania in recent years. He took out the coveted Statewide Series last year, qualified up front at the Race of Stars on the Gold Coast and earning the 50th position in the KartOz Top 50 drivers.

"With the promising talent that Ethan has already shown, not only will he be a great addition to the DPE race team, but this opportunity will also foster his growth as an up and coming driver through the mentoring he will receive from the other members of the DPE team, which boasts numerous National & State Champions" the team wrote.

"There's no doubting Ethan's ability, and hopefully being given more opportunities to race on the mainland, we can truly see his potential."

Another driver announcement is expected early next week
