Red Plates To Be Handed Out In Tassie This Weekend

The fourth and final round of the Tasmanian Statewide Series will be held this weekend at the North Western Kart Clubs Highclere track.

17 Red plates will be handed out to class winners from the Cadet 9 thru to Masters Super Heavy.

The four round series has seen in excess of 400 entries received for Tasmania's most prestigious series event.

Cadet 9 (Comer)
Kaiden Ford (STKC) heads into the final round with a handy 48 point buffer over Elliot Bellars (STKC) and barring a disaster should win his first red plate, third is NWKC member Kayla Sheals who sits on 240 points.

Cadet 9 (Mini Rok)
Jake Delphin (LKC) may be the only runner with the new motor but his performances so far this year shows he will be hard to beat when other purchase the new Karting Australia pathway motor.

Cadet 12 (Yamaha)
Ethan Wyllie (NWKC) will make it two red plates in a row, with an unsalable lead after his closest rival Callum Bishop (STKC) has elected to concentrate on mainland racing, the battle for third will come down to the wire with Fletcher Bellars (STKC) and  Logan Dixon (CHKC) only separated by 12 points.

Junior National Light (KA)
The biggest field with the new pathway motors will see Jackson Callow (LKC) head into the final round with a very handy 34 point gap on fellow LKC member Mitchell Kerrison, Kurtis Love (LKC) should hang on to third with William Reeve (LKC) being a further 29 points behind.

Junior National Light (Yamaha)
Connor Griffin (LKC) in only his first full year of racing will capture the Red plate in this class with good consistent driving that will help him no end when he gets the new pathway motor, second will be another new driver in LKC member Leah Beechey.

Junior National Heavy (KA)
This class is still yet to be decided with three drivers, Declan Sherburd (STKC) 295pts, Caitlin Fitch (LKC) 282pts and Kiana Toon (LKC) 281pts separated by only 14 points. With each race win worth 30 points this one could come down to the wire and any DNF could be a cruel blow to a red plate win.

Junior National Heavy (Yamaha)
Andrew Lee (LKC) heads into the last round with a handy 33 point lead over Zevie Eisentraut (STKC) whilst the battle for third will come down to the last race of the day with Jesse Sheals (NWKC) holding a slender 18pt gap on Nicholas Walpole (STKC).

Senior National Light
Defending champion Brodie Reading (STKC) looks the goods to go back to back as he will take a 32 point lead into the final round over Gemma Wyllie (STKC), Third will be another that comes down to the final race on Sunday with Samuel Jackson (STKC), Keenan Slater (NWKC), Johnah Slater (NWKC) and Jade Waddington (NWKC) only separated by 12 points.

Senior National Heavy
Danial Hinds (CHKC) is another driver that looks to have a red plate in his keeping with a 35 point margin over Joshua Hardy (STKC) with Alastair Lee (LKC) a further 2pts back.

Masters Pro
What can you say about Johnathan Males (LKC), He must have enough red plates at home to serve a smorgasbord with. In fact Males has a 117 point lead over Michael Vaughan (STKC) who in turn has only a 10 point gap on Freddy Cocca (LKC), Scotty Hildyard (STKC) needs a few in front to have a DNF or two to grab a trophy come Sunday afternoon.

Masters Super Heavy
Darren Williams (NWKC) takes a slender 4 point lead into the final round over close mate Greg Woods (NWKC) after Wood’s had two consecutive DNF’s in round three of the series, Third could come down to a battle of the LEE Brothers with John and Garry separated by a mere 1 point. In fact with-in 11 points of third are Scott Wrigley (LKC), Rick Davies (NWKC) and Terry Pinfold (STKC).

Clubman Light (Yamaha)
Shane Bray (NWKC) has a commanding 40 point lead in the series from Samuel Jackson (STKC) with Maddison Hollick (STKC) a further 25 points adrift.

Clubman Light (KA)
Tabatha Badger (STKC) holds a unassailable lead with the new IAME Reed Jet motor whilst Jason Conroy (LKC) who missed round one has been pushing Badger hard for race wins.

TAG Restricted Light
The winner of this class could be another decided on the last race Sunday afternoon with just 24 points separating Kayde Donnelly (LKC) Adam Garwood (LKC) and Lewis Robinson (NWKC). With all three taking a victory each in the first three rounds picking a winner could be harder than picking a broken nose.

TAG Restricted Heavy
Brodey Lovett (NWKC) has this one in the bag and heads into the final round with a 77 point lead over Shane Toon (LKC) third however is a deferent matter with three drivers within sight of a series trophy, Renee Chettle (NWKC) and Cameron Robinson (NWKC) are equal 3rd on 228 point whilst Andrew Wagner is only a further 20 points adrift.

TAG 125 Light
Nathan Zuj (LKC) is set to add a another Red Plate to his collection as he heads into the final round with a 58 point lead over Jordan Smith (NWKC) and Alastair Lee (LKC) a further 9 points back. On form fourth placed Brad Hobden (STKC) could leap frog both Smith and Lee to claim 2nd in the series.

TAG 125 Heavy
Troy Stone (LKC) is the points leader after three rounds, after taking victory in round 3. Infact the top three have all won a round with Jeffrey Dickson (STKC) winning round 2 and Jake Rice (NWKC) round 1, Stone holds a 11 point lead over Dickson with Rice further 15 points back.
